I am raving. - We had a customer come in with a request, that turned into a crazy fun day . She wanted to make a donation to the local boys and girls Club to be used for the kids who were taking a scrapbook making classes. They loved the classes, but had no money to buy for themselves papers, ribbons, stickies etc. She was concerned her donation might not get spent on the scrapbook classes.

We suggested putting together in a packet everything they would need to make a scrapbook. Some with ideas, colors, pages for boys and some for girls. She was into this idea big time. We set up a counter for her to put everything on and we put each one in a large clear plastic packet. Soon we had another counter set up. One for boys, one for girls.

Customers would ask us what was going on and when informed, many began offering ideas and lots of donations. One customer bought and donated yards and yards of ribbon in every color, size and fabric we had. It was overwhelming. This was a very memorable day for our staff, the customers and the person making the donation. We ended up packing all the big packets in two large boxes one for girls and one for boys. This was a very busy but BIG FUN day for everyone. Most of all for the kids at the boys and girls club.
